BzzAgent time! Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant review

I received the Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant to try from BzzAgent.  I have been using this product for the past 4 weeks.  Before trying this product, I was using Dermalogica Microfoliant for my exfoliator.  Here's what I like about Paula's Choice:

1.  It's so easy to use.  I just use a cotton round and swipe it around my face after cleansing and toning (morning and night).

2.  It really has improved my skin.  I noticed that my laugh lines are diminished, my skin tone is more radiant, my flaky spots have gone away, my skin looks smoother, and my skin feels so soft.

3.  It's a great value!  The 4 ounce size of Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is only $23!  That's a great value.

I will say, though, I am disappointed that my pores aren't smaller (see photo).  I know that it will take time for me to see any of those results, since pores are a genetic predisposition, but I am hopeful that this will work.  I still have at least half a bottle left (guesstimate), so I will carry on and see if I do notice some improvement and report back on that :)

TonyMoly CatChu Wink Tony Tint in Cherry Pink Reveiw

Here's another birthday present that my hubby got me from Amazon.  You can find the product here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HXXO1I/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

This is the sample size, but I received 2 of them and some samples.  The bottles are so cute and it comes with quite a bit of product to sample:
I would compare this to Benefit's Benetint.  I used this on my lips and on my cheeks to give it some color, since the Nature Republic BB Cream really gave me a clean slate.  Here's how the Cherry Pink looks on me:
I find it to be very flattering on my fair skin.  It comes across more red than pink.  I only used 3 tiny dots on each cheek and only one swipe on my lips to get this kind of payoff.

I only wanted the sample size to try out, but I think I'm going to have to get the larger size.  Just like Benefit Benetint, TonyMoly offers several colors including an orange, red, and 3 milky tint colors.

Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream

Here's another birthday present that my hubby purchased for me from Amazon.  You can find this product here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055X8H3O/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1.  Please be advised that the packaging is different than what is pictured, but the product is still the same.  It comes in a 1.18 ounce tube.
So here is my face with only moisturizer (Philosophy's Hope in a Jar):
As you can see, I have some broken capillaries, uneven skin tone, major pore issues, and some dark circles under my eyes.

Here's my face with one layer of Nature Republic By Flower BB Cream:
It does a pretty good job of covering the above mentioned issues.  It does have that typical Asian BB cream gray cast to it, but nothing that a little powder can't fix (as demonstrated in this next photo):

This is my finished face with some Laura Geller Balance N Brighten in Fair.

Overall I would say this BB cream is pretty solid and with it being under $12 (with shipping), it makes it a decent bargain compared to the pricing of some of the other Asian BB creams.

Mijin Cosmetics EGF paper mask review

For my birthday, my hubby went to my Amazon wishlist and bought a bunch of things.  One of my wishlist items was for these pre-moistened paper masks.  You can see the item here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00347FTXE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.  You get 10 different masks for about $12.

Today, I'm going to talk about the one marked EGF.  I used it this morning, because I only had 4 hours of sleep and I needed something to perk me up.  So after showering, I grabbed a cup of coffee and applied this mask for 20 minutes.

If you really want to know how far off your facial dimensions are from being symmetrical and perfect, just apply one of these masks (as demonstrated by my face below).
Now I know that some people put the eye flap parts over their eyes, but I like to tuck them in for some extra hydration around my eye area.  I mean, I'm nearing 40, so I feel it is important to pay attention to that area, as well as, I only had 4 hours of sleep.  Thus, the baggage under my eyes was comparable to a car airbag going off.  I wanted to see what this would do for that.

20 minutes later....
After I took off the mask, I did rub in the "essence" as stated on the package to do.  I think it did a pretty good job of depuffing my under eye area.  My skin feels refreshed and extremely hydrated, which it has been feeling a little parched due to our 16 degree weather, and the fact that coffee and tea are my best friends when I'm cold.

Overall, I would recommend the EGF mask, especially, for the winter time cold/dry weather.  I think it's a good value at a little over $1.20 per mask.  I will have more to review in the future, so stay tuned.....

Many uses of Ivory Soap-Thanks Influenster!

In my Mom Vox Box, courtesy of Influenster, I received a bar of Ivory soap to try and give my opinion on.  I remember my grandmother using Ivory, but I haven't used it personally since staying at her house as a little girl.  I can say that I was very surprised with this multi-tasking bar and it led me to look up all of the different uses.  Here are some of the ones I found:

Melting it and using it to replenish hand soap and body soap (tried this and it was excellent)
Using it as a a shampoo (tried this and it made my hair squeaky clean, but it also weighed it down)
Using it to pretreat stains on clothes
Melting it and using it as a spray on plants to ward off bugs (actually works!)
To clean brass and copper (save money big time!)
Hardwood floor cleaner

So many uses!  It is awesome and for the price....you can't beat it!  Now what are you waiting for?  Go pick up a bar today!
