Repurposing-Blinc mascara sample from September 2011 Birchbox

I wasn't really happy with the mascara.  It really did nothing for my lashes (see first photo).  I'm really happy with my everyday mascara (Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes).  So what to do with a mascara I've already sampled and decided I didn't like?  Why use it on my eyebrow to make it match my left eyebrow.  As evident in my below close-up photos of my eye area, my right eyebrow is quite a bit lighter than my left eyebrow.  I use eyebrow pencils, but they do smudge and wear off after awhile.  I thought about how the Blinc mascara actually "tubes" eyelashes and I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out on my eyebrow.  As you can see in the below full eye area pic, it did a great job of darkening and thickening my eyebrow.  I left my left brow bare for a comparison.  What do you think?

Repurposing the Birchbox Friendship Bracelet from Sept. 2011's box

I really didn't think the friendship bracelet was all that bad in the September 2011 Birchbox, but I saw lots of reviews that didn't feel the same.  So for those that don't like or won't wear the bracelet, here is an idea on how to repurpose it, as well as the tissue paper that Birchbox packs their items in!

Materials needed for making the candle holder:  glass candle holder, glue, 2 paint brushes (one large and one smaller for detail), bowl with a few tablespoons of water inside, tissue paper (repurposed from Birchbox), and the Birchbox Friendship bracelet

Add an equal amount of glue to the water
Mix water and glue

Start ripping tissue paper (does not have to be perfect strips)

Place strip of tissue paper against glass

Load glue/water mixture on larger paint brush,  while saturating the paper use light strokes to adhere the tissue to the glass

Start layering the 2 colors of tissue (Birchboxes come with 2 colors of tissue paper)
Majority of the candle holder done!

Use the smaller paint brush to work on detailed area

Here's what the inside looks like

After it dries add the Birchbox Friendship bracelet as an accent

Add a tealight candle, votive candle, or flameless LED candle
